Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood

I am using one of the Jabra headsets on my 815, and despite the fact that I have just charged the phone, using the headset once kills my batteries. Is there a way to turn the screen on the front and internal screens when the headset is plugged in?

I know the volume on most motos is pretty quiet. Will have an ear bud help w/ that problem?

Has anyone found a way to use the MP3/midi files for ring tones off the transflash card like the V710 vs. saving them all to the phone? 😕

I was wondering if anyone is having the problem like me. My phone only seems to freeze and resset itself when i try to respond to a text messege. It doesnt completely turn off just freezes and then says no service then kicks back on. Does any one know what i can do.

I don't know whats wrong with my phone. 😕 Sometimes my back light will not be on. My phone would be blacked out, but the buttons are lit up. I tried to edit the back light settings and that didn't help. I also tried turning the phone on and off, this didn't work either. As of now i cant do anything with my e815 because i cant see the screen. If you have any idea on what i should do, could u PLEASE email me or reply... Thank you in advance!

I just got my new E815 and I have been playing with the speaker phone. When I am using the speaker phone with the lid shut, I know the speaker is on the back of the phone but where is the microphone?

I'm convinced I got an E815 with a bad camera (it takes worse pics than my previous V265 AND LG7000--pics have virtually NO definition regardless of light). I've seen pics from other E815 users that look obviously better online. So, my question is, how can I convince Verizon store support my camera is bad, and convince them to let me do an exchange through warranty (have had the phone about 2 months)? Any opinions would be appreciated!!!!!

Haven't been here in a while but I thought I'd come back with another question since you guys were very helpful last time when it came to me getting the E815.

Anyways, I was looking through the cases for the phone.
I currently have Leather Case, which I don't mind really. It protects my phone like I want it to. My only problem with it, which was sometimes a problem with my old phone, was the fact that it makes it somewhat bulky when I put it on my pants. I hate it on my waist so it usually attaches to my pocket.

So I was looking at other cases for it.. perhaps ones that weren't so bulky and without the swivel. One that just slips on rather than clips on. I ran across two I'd possibly be interested in.

I live in the bay area and EVDO is in testing mode. The 1X and EVDO alternate often, thus draining batery quicker than normal.

I charged my phone last night and have talked approximately 2 hours since then, and I still have 2 bars left! The good thing is that I would normally be down to 1 bar by now. The two bars I have remaining occured after the two hours of talking, and have held steady for several hours. I will give an update within the next few days. Your results can be even better if you talk less! 🙂

When I go into settings it always makes me put in my unlock code. So I went to Settings -> Security -> Lock Application and then down to where it says lock or unlock settings, but it says unlocked, even though it is not. I tried changing it to Locked it does it, and then when I go back to look it says unlocked, but it isn't. I am tired of having to enter my code every time I have to go into settings. Help please if that made any sense.

Has anyone found a one button (silent) shortcut to place the phone on vibrate and to turn the ringer back on again later?

I found a 2 button quick way to do it but would be nice to have one dedicated button, other than holding the volume button down and watching the display to see if it is vibrate or silent.

When you copy text or a contact and the phone indicates 'copy successful'....where does that copy go????

Today was the 2nd time I've dropped this phone due the belt clip not holding to the belt properly. I've also noticed that my phone is flipped open etc when getting in and out of the car due to the seat belt.

Any recommendations for a good quality leather pouch (the one that holds the phone sideways) with belt loops to hold the case.

I've searched the forums but didn't see anything for what I'm looking for.

I just got my E815 and am looking for a carrying case for the phone. I do NOT want a holster as it keeps the phone too open for me. I need to have a fair amount of protection for the phone, but still would like to be able to see the external display and use the phone without removing it from the case. I have seen a couple of options I am considering, but am looking for pros/cons/opinions from anyone who may have used any of the options below...or if they feel there are even BETTER options for E815 phone cases...

-the Verizon O.E.M Leather Carrying pouch.
-the Body Glove Wetsuit II
-anything similar that allows the outer display to be seen and all functions used while in the case...plus a swivel holster.

Can someone tell me how the He__ to get this piece of sh___ phone to work with Mobile Phone tools. I have now spent about 15 hour trying every FU_____ thing that I can to get this Piece of sh____ to work. Yes I am VERY VERY mad. I did EXACTLY as was said to do on page 6 posting by jimspobox. I down loaded USB drivers and the MPT program, and did a live update, unzipped the files. Still there is no place where the computer can find the driver for the phone. I know i did everything correct because I tried it three times. Yes I did uninstall the files before trying to reinstall the stuff. What in the he__ can I do now. I am not a dumb A__ so this should not be this hard. This is unbelievable that something this easy will not work for me but a d...

Does anyone know where i can get USB Drivers for E815.....for moto phone tools? I am using windows XP/............PLEASE HELP. Cant find them anywhere!!!

I searched the site and got a bunch of various answers but not the exact answer.

I'm looking for a stereo headset that aren't earbuds (can't ever get them to stay in place) but rather something that goes over your head and covers your ears. If there isn't anything available then I'm looking for the correct adapter that will allow me to convert a 3.5mm adapter to a 2.5mm. The Radio Shack (stereo to stereo) ones don't work well. It seems that on the Radio Shack ones you have to pull it out slightly to get the headphones to work properly, by pushing the adapter in too far the headphones only play in mono.
