Are your pictures blurry when setting to fit-screen?

This isnt a huge deal but I was wondering if anyone else has noticed how bad pictures taken by the phone look when setting them to fit the screen as the wallpaper. Mine all look blurry, stretched, and just distorted. Does everyones look like this or is my camera not performing properly? No other phones I have owned have this problem. Thanks!

Main Screen Shortcut Menu

I just got my phone and noticed on the Moto skin that the shortcut menu is in the middle but on the techno and scarlet skins it is shifted to the left. It just seemed odd so I was wondering if this is normal with all the phones.

How much of a drain on the battery is bluetooth?

I've read here that the battery does not last as long when bluetooth is left powered on, but does anyone know to what extent this is the case? Is it just a minor difference or is it a significant difference?

Bluetooth headsets - Motorola H500

Anybody tried the Motorola H500 headset yet? Does it work well? I had the Motorola HS850 headset and thought the reception was terrible and returned it. Hoping the H500 is better. If so, where should I buy it? Verizon doesn't sell it yet.

how to disable EVDO and BT??

A number of people have discussed the short battery life of the E815, and that this may be caused by EVDO and BT.

I'm still waiting for my phone to be shipped and I think I live in an area where EVDO is supported (Southern California). However, I have no plan of using Vcast or Bluetooth (I don't like that weird looking thing hanging on my ear đŸ¤Ŗ ). So, please allow me a couple of questions:

1) Can you disable these two features if you don't plan to use them?

2) If you can disable them, does the manual show how to do this? If it doesn't, I would appreciate it if some kind person could tell me how to do it 🙂

Thanks in advance.

Blue Tooth headsets

Motorola, Jabra, Plantronics, any opinions? My wife and I are arguing. I am using a Motorola 850, which I find to be quite adiquite. She has a Plantronic none BT which she was using on her i95. She is going to upgrade to the i870 when it comes out. She is very stubborn and wants to get a Plantronic BT. Any takers on this. Thank you

So what BlueTooth headset would you recommend for my E815?

I currently have HS810 and not too happy with it.

IMO, the volume is too low, especially when walking outside or driving with a car window open... ☚ī¸

Are there any better headsets on the market today?

New info on Verizon's policy on OBEX

Apparently, verizon will have the Nokia 6256i with bluetooth, and it will have file transfer - VZW_Employee has always been a pretty reliable source of information and he has pictures of the info cards:

http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=725527 »

If another phone officially supports file transfer, and the e815 already has the software to do it (just not enabled) I'm hoping they'll officially enable it in a firmware update... :-)

E815 vs. LG VX4650

I'm a new VZW customer coming from GSM with a small local carrier in VT. I'm now living and working in the Boston area. I picked the VX4650 as I felt tri-band would be useful in the rural parts of VT and NH where only analog is available. Also I don't really want or need a camera.

However, in spite of the glowing reports I read here about the VX4650's reception, I have found it will not hold a call in the building where my new job is located. If I walk over to a window then it works. My previous GSM phone, which I still have for 30 days, works much better inside this building.

My question is whether the Moto E815 could possibly do substantially better than the VX4650 for reception in a given location. If I return the LG phone and get t...

Question about phone closed

Ok, when I lay my phone down on the table and look at the side opposite the attenna and look at the bottom corner, I can see the white tab thing. Is that normal or is my lid messed up?

Thanks,
Jim

Reverse Swivel Holster

Let me explain. A Swivel Holster that holds the phone "Face In" so that #1 the Front Screen of the phone is protected. #2 you don't light up a dark room when you recieve a call! I know that the back of the 815 is NOT the most attractive part of this phone however, I personally would feel more comfortable with the phone facing in. Not to be confused with the leather case Verizon offers that Hangs off you belt like an appendage! This is one the fits the 710 and now the 815. I would like that holster, but holding the phone face it. Am I Crazy?
