Any reason to get an H500 if you already have an HS820 bluetooth headset?

I noticed that since the LG 8100 received its new update, the mp3 player now works as well as the buttons on the front. I noticed that when playing mp3's the internal and external screens show a spectrum analyzer on them. Pretty cool. Does the 815 have the same? I'm waiting 3 more weeks for my contract to be up so that I can get the phone for free with new every 2. It's not really important but I was just curious since I've never seen the 815 while playing mp3s.

is there a setting to just open the flip and read the txt without having to press 'read' ? my 8000 was able to do this. i love this phone and how customizable it is, but i think they missed this one...

Does anyone know how to recover from a hosed phone (seem edit)?

p2kseem does not connect to the phone, but windows sees the connection under device manager. The phone gets no service and the inside screen displays ringer style loud with the back round all white. No buttons work either.

I've checked several sites on seem edits, but to no avail.

Just wondering if there's a genius here who can help undo this mess.

i sent them to my phone through email but when i try 2 download it it says "error downloading message, Please Try again later." i waited the next day and it still doesnt work...Help plz.

what is the maximum size you can email yourself? i have tried thru outlook and funformobile.com, but my phone doesnt receive them ☹️

I went to a verizon store and compared the 8100 and e815 today. i was more impressed by the 815 but the camera phone pics did not appear as good as the ones on the 8100. is this only because of the display settings? if i put the photos on my pc, will they look just as good as the ones from the 8100? please post an pics you have taken with your e815 camera.

also, does the e815 come with a way to transfer the photos to my Pc?

I was comparing the e815 with another phone and saw a menu setting for a "call disconnect" (or something similar) alert tone.

Later, at another VZW, looking at an e815, I couldn't find that setting in the menu.

Can somebody tell me where that setting is located?

I probably am doing something small and stupid wrong, but I cannot connect to the internet using my E815 as a modem with the USB cable.
I have MPT working and can sync, however when I click the web icon the phone attempts to connect. Then I get the error message connection attempt failed because the modem (or other connecting device)on the remote computer is out of order"
Please somebody set me straight so I can occasionally use the 815 with my computer as a modem.

Does anyone know of where or even if there are faceplates for the e815?

I often dial overseas. I use a phone card which requires ten digits to dial. Then I have to insert a "wait". When prompted, I then have to insert a ten digit pin. Then, when prompted, I dial the international number consisting of 14 numbers. This number of digits and the "waits" exceeds the phone's capacity, so I called Motorola to see if there's a solution short of remembering the 14 digit number and inserting it by hand following the entering of the pin number. The person at Motorola was very helpful and suggested the following:

1. Store as one contact the ten digit calling card number, the "wait", and then the ten digit pin number.

2. Store as another contact, the 14 digit international number.

3. Call the 14 digit international...

I used Mobile Phone Tools 3.25b to synchronize my Outlook 2003 contacts into my E815 and noticed that all my calls from contacts were going directly to voice mail. I discovered that when the contacts came over, the ringer ID for each was set to "Silent", thus the phone never rang if the call was from someone in my contact list.

BVRP's position is that MPT can't access the ringer ID field, so its not their software. Motorola has not responded to my question.

Does anyone know of a workaround rather than manually setting each contact's ringer ID back to "None"?

I have been so angry with them, I wish I had never signed up for another 2 years. After returning 2 lg8100's and getting the moto e815 I thought I finally got a good workable phone, not so. I tried the get it now last night and found out they forgot to load the software. Reps told me to take it in today and get it loaded. Drove 20 min, stood in line 15 min to find out the tecs do not work on Sun. I have spent more time in that darn store or on the phone with them that I should be on the payroll. I lodged a complaint, but one voice is like a whisper to them. They want you shell out the money but oops, if we messed up then oh well you have to forgive us, we own you for the next 2 years. What happened to the cust is always right and the respect...

What is circle with cross lines in center upper Verizon screen?

Wondering if anyone is using this phone and having any problems with battery life. I don't believe that we have EVDO here. If the phone is always searching for it, that may be a problem for me.

Considering purchasing the e815; have not yet used the phone, but have heard the predictive text (itap) is more difficult to use than the T9 on the LG8100. Feedback on frequent experiences with itap would be appreciated.

I've pretty much read through every post I could on here that refers to the slight static problem that some people seem to notice about this phone, and had a question for anyone else that has experienced this with their phone.

I just got the phone myself and I absolutely love it. I also have a Motorola HS850 bluetooth headset to go along with it. I did a little testing and it seems that I only get the static while using my headset, but not when I just use the phone itself up to my ear. I also plugged in a wired headset and got the same kind of slight static.

I was just curious if this slight static issue is with the phone itself, or has something to do with how the sound is translated through the headsets? And also, besides using...

1) How you cannot delete the pictures that are already saved in the phone e.i. the crazy little dudes that move around.
2) How the external screen is so dark you cannot read the time after a few seconds.
3) How the external display does not keep the missed call log (or it does sparadically, in my case)
....
feel free to add to the list or explain to me how to fix these little problems.
