Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood

I got this phone i could resist i was really thinking about getting the lg vx8100 but i read in the forum a lot of complains so i changed my mind and go another motorola phone 🙄 so getting to the point, My v-cast is kind of slow and gives me a lot of buffering i dont know if is my phone and plus to move in the menu its kind of slow i keep losing me service too sometimes i dont know whats going on.. Could u people tell me about the vcast in ur phone is it good. Plus the bettery life is not as resistant as i though it would.

Looks like the administrator got involved and removed some of the fake reviews for the e815, and the rating went up a little! 🙂 I hope the war between Motorola and LG is over. This site is more pleasant with educated, mature users. 🙂

Does anyone know how i can retreive my pixplace number in my contact list? I had one until i transfered my phonebook from my old phone to my new e815 and it erased it. Thanks in advance.

sorry if anyone has posted this already but does anyone know how to make the ringers louder? i downloaded mp3 from the walmart website and used funformobile.com to transfer them to my phone.. the volume really is not that loud. how can i fix this??

Is the extra $ worth it for an 815 if my main concerns are reliability and bluetooth?

The E815 has to be the worst phone Motorola has put out to date. I have always loved Motorola phones V600,V710,STARTAC,AND ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE BAG PHONE i HAVE IN MY OFFICE. I'm not sure what they did to the 815 but I am on my second unit and its no better than the first.
My first complaint has to be in the contact database,If you decide to use either Iphonebook, or backup assistant the contact are downloaded to your phone with a blank default picture in each contact,I have yet figured out how to change this without going into each contact and deleting the blank picture template,If you are like me and use your phone for business you have alot of contacts, I have over 350, that does not include the multiple phone numbers or Email addre...

Does the camera make a sound when u take a picture?

right now i have the lg vx8100 and i have seen all the threads on the pros and cons of both.

the reason why i'm considering exchanging for the e815 is so i can use isync to sync the calandar on the phone. i have also read the threads telling me the hacks to set this up. what i want to know is if the caladar/datebook on the e815 is worth all of this effort... does it fuction well... easy to use... etc.

Is there a way to turn off backlight on sub lcd when phone is off and charging? Previous Motorola phones backlight was automatically turned off when phone was off and charging. Any help would be much appreciated!

Why would Motorola ever make a "perfect phone without problems"? Then no-one would ever go out and upgrade their existing phone right? Makes sense to me. I think i'll stick with my existing V710 with my extended battery and enjoy the 5 hours of talk time I get. Gee, why would Moto make a new type of battery for the E815? 😉

i'm having trouble initializing my phone with the MPT. i just updated the MPT to 3.25b version. someone suggested that i also needed a USB driver. can someone help?

I'm trying to decide on buying the Motorola E815 or the LG VX8100. 😕 When you receive a call on the 8100, I heard that different color lights blink. I was wondering is there any type of option like that on the 815, and just in general how does it look when you receive an incoming call?

I just got this phone on tuesday. What is up with the Screen Saver? I selected one and yet have never seen it actually work? Has this option been disabled by verizon? If anyone Knows anything about it please HELP! Im seriousls thinking about trading in for the LG8100 or the Samsung!

I'm new to the whole bluetooth headset thing (as I'm coming from Sprint). Anyways I got my Motorola HS850 and everything sounds good on my end but the person I'm speaking with on the other end is complaining that they can hear a really bad echo when they talk. Does anyone know what would cause this? It seems to happen on every call.

How do I switch from the handset to the speakerphone while Im in the middle of a call? I have the on the left soft key "contacts" and the right soft key is "mute" help!

I've lost my paperwork. Can someone tell me when Verizon's billing cycle begins? Seems like I remember it being around the 20th of the month. I want to reset my call timers.

😕 I havent gotten this phone yet but I did play with it for a minute. I noticed you can have several different skins, including MOTO. Now the MOTO skin is the same as the v710, or default. Can you change the color of the MOTO skin to like silver or yellow? Its blue but I would like to change the color.
