How do you know if you have the EVDO software in your phone?

What is the difference????

I know most of you are very knowledgeable about cellular phones. But what I don't understand is the continue bitching about this not working and that not working. I understand phonescoop is a great place to talk and share information and inquire about others problems. But geeez; if your phone is not working for God sake take it back to verizon and make them give you one that works for you.I just want everyone to be as happy with this phone as I. I have no problems with my phone at all.

Verizon is a steller company and they will bend over backwards to help you. Just be nice to them

Does anybody know how to enable the multimedia studio feature with MPT3.25 I installed it and I was only able to sync my phonebook and datebook. Thanks in advance!

According to VZW: There was a software problem with the E815 for the Vcast capabilities. The software will be out by tomorrow to all stores. So if yours is on hold, it's so they can update the software, other than that, nothing is wrong!

What is the voicemail alert? I had new messages and there was no sound and nothing i noticed on the screen. What should I look for or do I have to set this?

Is the ability to copy it to the phone to use them as ringtones not there like the new v710's? are we going to have to do another hack?

I am currently using mpt 3.11h...But there is no option under setup to live update...How can I update to 3.25h??

if you get a new phone on the promo pricing, can you activate online on another phone number besides the one it was purchased for?

I am becoming very, very discouraged with this phone and the poor audio in earpiece. I am on my 3rd phone, hoping that each phone would be better, but that's not the case. I'm surprised others haven't mentioned it that much. I really want to have this phone. I love everything about it, but this could be a major problem. Does anyone else have this problem? I have my volume set to 4 when talking. Any higher than that makes the callers sound scratchy. No one has a problem hearing me, which is great! I do have very good hearing. I've not had this problem with another phone. I am really losing my faith in Motorola! Please help! Advice????? 😢

I just want to clarify ... the only way you get EV-DO speed is on the actual phone ... using Get It Now, Mobile Web, and VCast??

Is there anyway to extend that high speed connection to a PC or PDA thru a USB Cable or DUN?

I just purchased the e815 and am interested in getting a bluetooth car kit. Verizon shows one on their web site for 169.99 (doesn't list model number). Does anyone have any info on this product? It looks simple enough. Just a small box with a 5 watt speaker in it and looks like it attaches to the dashbord. A similar product on Motorola's web site indicates it should be professionally installed. Maybe it is powered by the car battery and not a AA or AAA battery which would complicate installation. Anyone know?Thanks.

I currently use Data pilot to backup my phones, but I don't have a data cable yet to transfer, my contacts. Does anyone know if I can do this with data pilot utilizing the V710 data cable? Both the cable and software have not been update on the web site as yet.

Has anyone heard of any new software updates coming out to make the V710 more like the E815? (ie. view clock on outer display when phone goes dim, use speaker phone while flip is closed). You would think with all the praise the E815 is getting something would be done to improve the V710.

Hi again everyone. I don't intend on picking up any bluetooth devices for a couple of weeks yet but still want to proceed to make the seem modifications:

Is that OK & will i still be able to at least "enable" bluetooth features for when i do get them?

Anyone who owns the e815 and had V710 before.

1. Does speckerphone work flip closed?

2. Is it as clear and as good as v710's speacker?

3. Battery life is significally increased?

4. Can you enable Bluetooth options 9 DUN and OBEX) on E815 ? I have read that you can but anyone exhcanged photos ringtones through bluetooth?

5. is V710 any better besides analog?

I was so excited to get my e815 and switch to verizon all at once. After having t-mobile, and dealing with the frusterations of their service, It's so great to actually be able to use my phone.

As soon as I got it I made some calls and right away people commented on how clear i sounded, and asked if i was even on my cell phone, since they were so used to me breaking up. People sound like they are right next to me instead of far away in a tunnel now.

I went to the mall- a place my t-mobile didn't get signal, and I had 3 bars in department stores, and full signal in the mall area.

Another great thing is the battery life. I downloaded ringtones, played w/ the camera/video, made a bunch of calls, and still the next day my phone didnt e...

I've been trying to figure out whether or not to get the mobile phone tool kit for my e815. It seems there has been confusion on this forum as to what can and can't be done with the kit (DUN, contact syncing, etc...). I called customer service last night and the rep i talked to said they have been told that the mobile office kit is NOT compatible with the e815 and that it is not to be sold with the phone, or any EV-DO capable phone. He said anyone trying to use the mobile office kit to access the internet will be (in his words) "going to jail" for stealing from verizon.

For those of you who already have the toolkit and the e815 - what are your experiences? Does it work with the 815 for contact syncing and connecting to the internet w...
