LG VX-8100

Whats the best bluetooth headset to go with for the 8100 my hs850 is going wacko on me but i think that it has seen its las days though any other brand or model or model # you guys would suggest??

i seem to not be able to download a usable QPST program for my mac? any other ideas?

I just ordered mines online on friday and it hasn't come yet. i just brooke my old phone yesterday and i need a phone badly. how long does it really takes for them to ship to your house, and do they use u.p.s. or fedex.

Does anyone know if there is a hack yet for the
2MB maximum ringtone allocation size?

Just a reminder to everyone waiting and hopoing verizon fixes volume issues before their 15 days are up...if this problem continues and verizon does not fix it you still have one year to keep returning that phone to verizon and getting a new one as stated in the manufacturers warranty. Then after you have had 3 of the same model in one year you can demand a different phone of equal value.

just received my 8100today and was testing it out and was wondering anyone else with this phone notice the disco lights and flash only light up on one side or are they suppose to light up both sides? i see to littlecircles under the screen but mine only lights up on one side,is this normal?????

There are so many answers to this question, but now it is time for anyone who knows an easy or efficient way to do this, to post your directions and information here.

Anybody have any idea when the BITPIM software will be updated so that we can access the address book, wallpaper, and ringtones without having to go through the file system?

I have received my cable - I bought 6100/8000 cable on ebay.

The software that came with cable did not detect this phone - the cable fits though but 8100 is not a choice on their software yet.

I was able to use the same cable received and bitpim to get all my phone info out of my 6000. So it that info is now on my compter.

I have read on here that you folks are uploading mp3, ringtones, etc so please explain to me how you are doing the uploading as bitpim does not read my phone as a 8100 either - the error messages give back indicate a 8000 phone which it is not and does not continue. Is the driver the same for the 8000/8100? Does anyone know?

I was waiting for 3 month to buy lg vx8100 thinking its gonna be all that and now when I got it for a week... well we all know the rest 🙄 ... no mp3, crippled bluetooth and u have to hack it to death to get most of the features to work, camera is grainy, no speaker phone when closed games only work in evdo coverage, etc.. Besides I dunno I think I got tired of the large size and blue faceplate (mebee go for a silver I dunno)

I had some lockup problems so I gona call to exchange for new model or perhaps go for a different phone I dunno 😕 ...Give me reason y I should keep it

just got back from a verizon store and i was informed that when you switch phones other than upgrading your contract,they are gonna start charging 15 dollars to do so,ie:bought a phone from ebay,person,friend,any other than a verizon store...if your contract is up and get a new phone,there is no charge,but if you have more than one phone you own and wanna bounce back and forth from one phone to another 15 dollars!!!!!!buy one from ebay,15 dollars!!!!to have it activated..

I have had a few problems with the phone,not nessecarely, problems with the phone but deffinatly sound quality and phone build up. The sound of the ear piece isn't very loud and the speaker isn't very well placed, not very comfortable to hold between my shoulder and my ear. Also the ability to record voice memo's has deminished. I never really understood the complaining about crippling stuff, voice memos and things of that sort. till I recorded a voice memo and couldn't find it. Pissed me off to no end.

I didn't spend over 400 dollars for this. I am going back to my 4500 and may get the 4650. I don't know, I still am a LG fan, but this is crazy. I am going to give it a review of 2.5 out of 5.0. The features are tremendous but quality is ...

how do I turn on the speaker phone while during a call and also did anybody get a mini sd card with their 8100 or was i suppose to get a 32 mb card with the phone or was it coming without the card?

Is there an "AA" for PhoneScoop? I swear I cannot get off of this thing! I was tired of waiting for the 8100 and purchased the 815, then got the 8100 the day it was available in my area (which I'm happy to say is the one I've decided on). Anyway, I found out about PhoneScoop in one of my several calls to VZW trying to find out when I could get the 8100. Anyway.....have the phone, love it, have had NONE of the problems others seem to be having, put music on it, everythings great (knock on wood), BUT I still can't get off of here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!

I don't know if I have seen this on this forum yet but I might have missed it. Today I was taking a simple pic of my kids and the phone died.....none of the buttons worked.couldn't even shut the phone off.......in the end I took out the battery and restarted it.........and it returned to normal. Any help I can get I would appreciate.....Thanks

i just bought a verizon 6100 cable for my 8100 phone. installed the drivers(lgusbmodemdriver4.5), plugged in the phone - it registered fine - it communicates fine in the device manager (winxp) - com3. installed qpst - it doesn't let me add any new ports(error reading them), whether they are in use or not. so i changed the port# that is assigned to the phone to com2 (com1 and com2 are showing in the qpst configuration by default for me). now it reads com2 as usb but says "no phone"(phone is dun enabled for cable and pc connection is set to usb). any help is greatly appreciated.

If the price was the same, which is the better all around phone, Looks, Feel, Operation and can the e815 have multiple phone Numbers under one name. I am leaning towards the E815 - Is this the better overall choice

Can som1 help me fix volume problems?? What are the two options that i can alter to fix the ear volume problems? Any help greatly appreciated thanks

Anyone have any ideas on how to stop this? My pictures will just go white after a few days and i can't see them.
