Clean Phone

What's the best way to clean a cell phone? Is using rubbing alcohol okay (say, if you put the alcohol on a cloth and then lightly wipe the phone)?

I just got the 8100 yesterday and was wondering.

Thanks! 🙂 😁 🙂 😁

Ever Wonder?

This is not meant to offend anyone or to persuade one's choice of product, but to be thought provoking. here we have LG, that made a phone with all of these wonderful little tools and extras. now, when it comes to these extra bells and whistles, some of you say, "just buy a Palm Pilot," or, "it's just a phone," to which i say, "don't be ignorant." because with new technology comes new phones with new upgrades. that is the whole point of new technology. why buy an ipod, if my phone can double as one! this is what the people want!
no, i don't have an i-pod, and if the technology is there to use an MP3 player on a phone, and a manufacturer makes one, why shouldn't i be able to use it. if i want a PDA, i'll buy a PDA. if i want an ipod, i'll b...

Dynamite

🤣 🤣 🤣 VZW is a royal-pain-in-the -ass. Finally, with a lot of headaches, I got my phone. I placed an order with sales thru 611. They either never put it thru or lost it. Not pissed much. CS called a store In South Jersey. They had 9. Lucky, but had to pay tax. At least I got it. First impressions - great, except for wallpaper. It's garbage. Wish the clock on front was bigger.

My Story: E815 and why it’s better then 8100

My Story: E815 and why it’s better then 8100

I know I say this every time I start a post and I’m say it again, I’m a Verizon EMP “data department”
At one point I was thinking of buying the 8100, I use to always say once the Koreans get on the ball and start added Bluetooth to there phones, I wouldn’t feel forced into buying an all American Motorola. I like to call them good ol’ “Chevy” phones.
One thing about CDMA LG phones is they look cheap and boring.
On paper, and looking at pictures of the 8100 it liked that it was going to be it for me, and I wanted that phone so bad. A week later, I found out a good friend of mine was testing the phone, so I paid him a visit. When I first laid eyes on the phone, it looked like the same unat...

VX8100: Some Pictures and a Video Clip of the Phone

Just thought I'd take some quick pics of the phone, since some people were asking for them. Also took a short video clip showing the VX8100's Video Wallpaper on the main and external screens. Sorry for the crappy pics. I had to take the video in the lowest quality with my digicam (SD400) so I could have it hosted free on some site.

Also, Flix as wallpaper

Just to add another cool feature to the long list that hasn't been mentioned, for those who never knew...

You can make ur videos your wallpaper for both, outside and inside screens. And yes, they actually PLAY.

The great MP3 debate

My reason for wanting the feature of mp3 on my next phone, is so i can listen to podcasts at work over the speakerphone on my downtime.

Ipods DONT have built in speakers, and i am not going to start bringing a pair of headphones to my job (verizon salesman)with me! Yes I realize I have FAR less capacity with the phone, but with podcasts downmixed for VOICE only and mono, makes for SMALL file sizes, mp3's are not just for music. 😲

And as for the 8100 and not being able to play mp3's off the mini-sd, I am making my choice in phone VERY narrow, I can't remember if the 8940 is crippled like the 8100, but I hate audiovox to begin with. I'm sure both phones are AWESOME, i have a 6000 right now, so either would be a huge step up.

Case...

What sites can I send TRUE TONES or NICE WALLPAPER TO...

My Lg Vx8100? I want TRUE TONES, not poly or mono. I've found one place to send wallpaper, but they aren't THAT great.

But if someone knows a site, or sites, that will allow me to send TRUE TONES and good wallpaper to my LG Vx8100, please post, thanks.

Very Confused..

Ok.. I am posting this and hoping I can get some real positive reveiws. I have seen some of the reveiws on here and they can get nasty so here I go...::

I am new to the phonescoop issue and new to buying phones. But I have the rare occasion with my wedding comming up and with working for Verizon I am able to either get the E815 or the LG VX 8100. I have been on these forum's for the past week literally and I am posting the same post on the E815 side. The reason for this post is because I am really torn to which one I would like. It is just somthing that I would need help on.

First the LG 8100. LOVE the look of the phone. Love the speakers on the side and love the fact that there is an LG Bluetooth. I had the V710 and wanted V-cast bu...

About V-Cast.....

A LOT of people are saying that V-Cast doesn't have any free stuff...well that is WRONG. Yes, you pay $15 per month for the service but that includes mobile web (no airtime is used) and almost everything on V-Cast is included except for a few "premium" clips (which are mostly music videos). Weather, news, sports, etc...clips are included free, so I have no idea where you got your info from guys.

3 Day reveiw of VX8100

Bluetooth headset with Jabra 250V VERY STATICY and Muffled. In other words not worth it.

EarPeice Volume is Low.

No MP3 Player (yet atleast)

Vcast tried it and its horrible!!!!!!

Screens are amazing compared to E815

But i thin im gonna switch, id rather have a hackable phone, with long lasting battery and a Bluetooth phone that works without static with JABRA.....but i dont know if the E815 will be staticy either

Getting kinda down....the VX8100 looks sooooooooooooooooo nice, has so much power but it seems like Verizon is its own Kryptonite!!!

Let's not bash eachother's phone!!!

The person who gave the e815 a negative review is an idiot! You aren't even helpful in specifying your dislikes of the E815. Review your own phone!!! I could just as easily give the 8100 a negative review, but I have a little more tact than that!!! They both have their positives and negatives, and are both good phones!!!

Went back and got the e815 in addition to the VX8100. My parnter said he would like a bluetooth phone for work so I thought why not get the e815 so we do not have the same phone. Just proves that I believe both phones are well worth it.

call me crazy...

Ok, i have been eagerly awaiting this phone as anyone in here. got my 8000 July 2nd cause i couldnt wait to get rid of my friggin Sam a310. anywho, the mall VZW guy TXT'd me and said to come in for the 8100 - so i did. for a 1/2 hour i played with it and compared it to my 8000.

Well i walked away and kept my 8000. you can actually see how much memory is alotted for your own data: 4MB for pix and 2MB for ringtones & sounds. I said to the guy, i thot it had 512MB, he said, "I dont know anything about that phone."

Well, the screens are noticibly smaller and the buttons are also smaller, so texting is not fluent for a guy with big hands (like me). the speakers were not very loud (at teh max volume) and the camera has no macro lens (w...

Headset question

Just wondering, can you answer a call using a bluetooth headset on the 8100 without opening the phone? How about making a call with voice dialing through the headset? 😁

I think I've decided...

... on the e815.

Too many unknowns about the 8100. I may end up regretting it but, hey, it aint the end of the world if I make the 'wrong' choice.

Y'all have fun now, y'hear... 😁
