LG VX 8100--Can you clarify

I see there's a post about the 8100 camera versus the 8000. However not raised in that post was whether there's a difference in the number of pics the 8100 can store versus the 8000? I'll refer to the other post re: any replies on which one takes a better crisper picture which I'm also curious about.

Email: I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to access my verizon email and if so how to do that. It's frustrating Verizon wireless doesn't support Verizon dsl email. ☚ī¸ Any ideas would be great.

Does the 8100 get hot on long calls?

Volume, voice clarity, earpiece volume and ringer volume on the 8100--
I've read that the sound goes in and out on longer calls, that the earpiece volume is low and that the ringer is low on the 8100 ...

Theory...who wants to test it?

I am from NJ and have called *611 a few times and the common thing about the call other than "all my computer says is coming soon" is when the CS rep has asked me "Are you seeing the phone on our site?"

They always ask if I am seeing the LG VX8100 on their site.

What if someone said yes and bluffed them?

All one would have to is simply say "I see it on the site and I would like to order it". Tell them it says on the site that after the rebate the 2 year price is $149.99 and the one year price after rebate is $199.99

Of course you could wait a few days and get it at the store.

I know, I know...I have way too much time on my hands.

Where are the experts to test pc connectivity, Bluetooth and the memory card?!

Do I need to go to HOFO to wait for these answers? I'm not buying this phone until I info from those that are OK with being testers.

This is perpetuating the impression Phonescoop is for non-tech-savy fashion-obsessed cell phone collectors. C'mon guys. Again, I'm not into being the Guinea pig so get to work!

Phonebook comparison - how many ACTUAL contacts for both e815 & vx8100??

For each phone, can you tell me how many actual contacts are allowed?
IF one phone allows multiple entries for one contact (ie, home, work, cell, etc), then is that contact considered just ONE entry?

Pls explain how BOTH works. thanks

Just got mine in Boston area

I called a dozen corporate stores all around Boston, and got a different answer from each - some fact, but most were totally wrong, and some were totally clueless about the 8100. But none of the stores had actually received any phones or had them in stock yet.

So I called a couple of local Circuit City locations, and found one which had them in stock and available for sale, so I went right down and got one. $199-$100 NE2 -$50 rebate=$50+tax.

Apparently there was an email "yesterday" that said the phone can be launched/sold ahead of the "official" date of 7/15.

But don't be surprised if most stores remain clueless or unhelpful.

Does anyone know when it will be available on the web?

Or at least when they're saying it will be - for those who have spoken or will speak to cs reps, telesales, store sales, store managers, etc.

As of 5pm EDT...you can buy the vx 8100 at Verizon Wireless stores that have it.

Oh no my hopes and dreams!!

I work for vzw and another rep and another store bought the phone today. He called me immediatley after he returned the phone. I have not been able to verify this cause my location has not gotten their shipment yet. He said that there is NO WAY to save sounds sent from pictures to use as a ringer. You can save them to your melodies or sounds folder but you can't use them as ringers?!?! Please tell me this isn't true. I know vzw needs to make money. I will even accept them disabling the bluetooth but I will get the 815 if they disabled that feature on the 8100 ☚ī¸
