LG VX-8100

So, has anyone tested whether the Bluetooth DUN profile works on Verizon's network? I'm only interested in Q2N, but please post results for 1xRTT / EVDO as well.

The bluetooth smokes the LG8100 in clarity.

I just called 611 to see if the 8100 was available in my area (I'm in Oregon) and it will be available on the 15th. At least they knew about it which is more than I'm hearing from other people about their customer service experiences.

Is this at all possible? How about viewing pics when phone is closed?

Called around to several VZW stores and Circuit City locations and found one that was selling them today in the Commack Circuit City. Others said they were going to sell them on Friday or when the 8000 sells out. If you want one and are on LI go to Commack. Phone is pretty cool - just getting to test some of the features. Speakerphone so far is good and charging up Bluetooth headset as we speak. Very impressed so far...

Just wondering if anyone knows if LG makes an LG brand Bluetooth headset for the 8100 or if you have to use a Motorola or other brand. Anyone know????????????

I am sure this has been answered somewhere so please don't bash me becasue I didn't want to spend half the day looking for it. Can someone with the 8100 tell me if the speakerphone can be used with the phone closed, I am assuming the answer is no, but i am hoping you can. Can you put mp3 on the memory card and play them through the player on the front?

Hey all. Is anyone else having trouble in vzw.com's pixplace? I'm clicking on create message, send pix/flix, and it's taking forever to open the page. I have broadband, and it's super slow. Is the link slow? Thanks in advance for any advice.

I called the business support line serving southern CA this morning and they took my order. Phone is to be sent FedEx today.

Just to let anyone know from the central ny area, I called *611 today and they said end of the month. I went to a verizon store (not a kiosk or best buy or circuit city) and they said they didn't know yet. Although they say they dont know, it was real busy in there and they didn't even check on the computer so I think I was wasting their time! I'm suprised because of the fact that (correct me if I am wrong) Syracuse has EV-DO coverage and everyone keeps saying that the cities with EV-DO will get the phone first! Let me know if anyone had a different experience around here! 😎

Hey all. I just got mine this morning and I am very excited about the mp3 find! But I have one question...can I email pics to the phone, and if so, how? Thanks in advance for any advice.

a VZW told me that the yet to be released Mobile Office Kit for the 8100 will be provided with a USB cable and CD that will sync contacts/calendar with the Outlook on the comp. does anyone know if this is true? and if so, when will the Kit be available?

👿 👿 👿 Lets get a few things straight fot all you techno-leaches out there: Phonescoop is an awesome forum and it brings to our lazy eyes the public info we dont have the intelligence to seek out ourselves. Also there are tidbits you may never find anywhere else, ie, phone specs, pre-launch. prior to such tools, we all had to wait in silence for new product to be released and wed never know about it until it was comercially revealed.

Now, every thick-rimmer wants to feel like they have some cutting edge peice of knowlege that their buddy doesnt have. Get off it. You now are blessed with KNOWING that a phone is in development or testing or maybe just approved by the fcc, which means very little. 🙄 The trouble is,...

🙄 OK I know you dont NEED an intergrated speaker phone since there are bluetooth speakers avalible, but I like the fact that the 8000 and 6100 had them built in. I liked not having to buy a seperate accessory for a feature I feel should be standard but oh well. Overal the 8100 is a good phone. It has the new standard Verizon LG menu which is awsome. It makes a nice transition for people that already have 7000 or 8000 to move to 8100 w/ ease. I also love the stero output on the phone speaker, and its pretty light weight. The 8100 dosent officaly launch till Friday but a budy of mine at Verizon sold me one and so far I'm loving it.

the 8100 was issued a soft release (which it was avaialbel through only limited areas and venues) and it will be available widespread on the website on the 14th according to the exectuive office which I spoke with. It will be $50 more than the E815 (with 2yr and 50 rebate).
