Bluetooth Headsets w/Vibrate
Other than the BT250v, what other models have a vibrate option?

H700 solved all my bluetooth problems!
This Headset is awesome! No static, very clear, instant connection. I love it! I thought the H500 was good, but this one is the one to get. Steven

Memory card only sees certain songs...
I have a 256MB memory card for my 8100. I put the MP3's on from my computer, but when I insert the card into my phone, only some of the songs show up. Is this happening to anyone else? Is there any way to make them all show up on my phone?
Thanks!

Anyone Bought 8100 Recently & Not Had Fluctuation Problem?
I am trying to decide between the 8100 and the a-950 and am wondering if the volume fluctuation problem has been solved with firmware updates.
Also, is there a plastic holster for the 8100 that holds the phone when it is opoen? One issue is that I keep my current phone clipped to my car visor and I would like to be able to use the speakerphone while it is clipped there. A-950 speakerphone works with flip closed.
Other questions (while I'm here!):
Is the miniSD card bigger than the transflash card used in the a-950?
Can you make playlists of mp3s?
Thanks

USCC when/if?
Any news on when or if USCC will be offering this phone in its lineup? I'm not in love with my Nokia 6255, and I really like LG.
Mary, I would like your opinion
Mary,
I have had my 8100 since they first came out. I posted on the forum a couple of times and got blasted so I didn't post anymore, but still checked back to read. Which headset do you have? I would appreciate your feedback because if I traced the threads back, I think you have tried several.
Thanks! 🙂

Mary, and any other BT250v owners (that wear glasses)....
👿 Some jacka** swipped my Moto HS850 headset. As much as I enjoyed, I'm not closed to replacing it with another model.
One of my favorite HS850 features was the thin ear hook. I wear glasses, so I don't have a whole bunch of space to play around with.
Anywho, I was thinking that vibrate feature on the BT250v might come in handy. Just wondering if any of you folks that have this set wear glasses? Do you experience any discomfort when ya wear the set and your specs?

I might switch back and wait...
I've been reading lots of comments about several Verizon phones, and I'm having the toughest time deciding what I want to do. I switched from the LG 6100 (which was a cool internet-only phone and I love it) to the LG 8100 earlier this week. I gotta tell ya.... it's just a super bulky and unattractive phone in my mind. Whatever I choose, I'm going to be stuck with for two years... Do I really need Bluetooth? I don't want the video or MP3 features, but I wanted Bluetooth because I'm thinking Mass. will turn to hands-free within the next two years.
I feel like I should return to my old phone and sit tight. Two years is a long time. I'd appreciate any thoughts on whether greater things are coming in early 2006? Thanks!

Good review
I got a VX8100 3 weeks ago too and I'd say your review is bang on. I got my from the local verizon store and it had a slip of paper in it proudly mentioning that the phone did have an MP3 player in it now. That really threw me because I completely expected it to have one and never for one moment thought it didn't!
Here's my take:
Reasonably nice to hold and handle, although the flip open angle is a little too snug for my liking. I like my phones to open flatter.
The speakers look like a big womans hips.
I was seriously tripped up bu the video recorder. I've been using a Sharp 903SH to video blog my travels around the world and half way through the intro to my spiel the LG stopped recording! I thought it was broken. It sure was a shock ...

MP3 Player Review
Hmmm... MP3 Player on a fone- at first I was like 'damn thats gonna be hot' and I was expecting too much. Now I have the mini sd and put up some songs on there... the quality ain't too hot.
Dun really feel bass at all. Files are all 192kbps but sounds pretty cheap?! I got the c120s for the earfones, but sounds pretty mono?! But I must admit, coming out from the speakers are pretty cool.
Don't bash me for expecting too much from a fone. Is it the earfones or does the fone degrades the file when playing?!?! Cuz coming out of the earfones, I think there is a difference between a real MP3 player. I've spent mad bucks on the damn 1gig card and I wanted a decent player!!! ;(

Phone rebooting when someone calls...
I remember someone posting about this...
My phone periodically reboots itself when someone tries to call. And this is happening more and more frequently. 😢
Was there ever any resolution to this that you all know of?
Is there an update that addresses this?
Help!

Cannot use phone when Charging
Has anyone encounter this. I plugged my cigerett charger to my phone in my car. When I try to use the bluetooth headset, or wired headset or just want to use the phone, it will dial out but you cannot hear anything. When I unplugged the charger, I can hear it. Any idea? I have not tested it with the wall charger yet.
Any advise?

MP3 and Bluetooth
I just purchased a stereo bluetooth headphone set which works fine with all the features of the phone so far, except for the music.
I don't have V4.0 of the software, nor do I have an SD card. I'm testing this out using the "My Sounds" section of the phone, assuming the bluetooth functionality would be the same.
If I get the phone upgraded to V4.0 and throw some MP3s on an SD card, will they play via bluetooth to the headphones?
The headphones support the Hands Free, Earpiece, and A2DP bluetooth profiles.

Camera quality question
First, let me say I love this phone. It's awesome. But what's up with the camera taking such bad quality pictures on the highest resolution? I compared it to samsung sch-a950 and the samsungs has immensly better quality. I called verizon and the rep, who said he has the same phone, told me to put the resolution near last. The pictures do come out great but...part of the reason I bought the phone was the camera. I have all settings on default. Can anyone help? Thanks

6 tabs??
" The Verizon UI, love or hate it, is consistent. The main menu features six different tabs, each with no more than 10 elements per tab."
Are you positive there are 6 tabs? I count five, but hey, math was never my strong subject.
Anyway, nice review. Thanks for taking the time to get all of the information right... 😳
