I wouldn't buy it,the reception is really bad.

Called 2 stores in the area Issaquah and Redmond. No on both. anyone else in the area have any luck?

Anyone here from Utah been able to get the update? I have called and been to 4 stores in the Salt Lake area and have been told they wont have the update for another week or so.

What the heck is going on? Everyone I talk to has a different story. Just another Verizon excuse.

V4 software will not let you log on via BT or Cable DUN. I know what im talking about. I checked it before i upgraded and after. IT WILL NOT LET YOU. UNLESS THERES A HACK OR SOMETHING!

Can circuit city, apply my NE2 when I buy the 8100?

Do you have to have a SD card in order to play MP3's? When I press the button, it says 'no MP3's found on memory card'.

i've trying to take songs and place into my mp3 folder. i've tried changing to .qcp or .mid to get my songs onto my sd card. i'm doing something wrong. how do i get mp3 songs to my folder. i keep gettings cd write protected. can someone give me step by step instructions? or were do i get music so i can play it on my phone.

A very knowlegable salesman told me that if you buy your phone now they won't update it later!!! and the update is coming in november

Has anybody experience a higher than high phone bill? I just got mine and it said I text 655 times in the last month. I would have to average 20+ a day which is impossible. I work 2 jobs and don't use it that often. It also says I used 455 air time minutes. I use AOL on my computer and wonder if that could be the problem. I have IM forwarding off. I am very frustrated. Could someone help! ☹️

Does anyones phone freeze if it is closed and they press the button to change to the "take the picture mode"(press the right hand button) and then try to open it before they actually take a picture? Everytime my phone freezes and I have to take the battery out.
Haven't read anything about it so maybe it is just my phone.

Also has anyone noticed your only allowed 10 people in a group when you assign your numbers to a group.

Does anyone in this forum know what the new update for the vx8100 is about? besides enabling mp3, what else does it do?

Does it fix the volume issue with the earpiece? (this is the most important right now, after all it is a phone, right?)

Once you have the update, you can play mp3s. All you need is a minisd card. To transfer mp3s, you just stick it into your computer and you can drag and drop mp3 files into an associated folder. You then stick the card into your phone and the phone automatically recognizes what's on the card, and the songs are in some sort of "my sounds" folder. The largest minisd card that works with the phone is 1GB.

Is it as easy as that?

Just had my phone updated in 12590. It took 2:15 hours. The techie guy said it was because I had a lot of pictures on my phone. I don't have a ton, but perhaps a dozen. Anyway, he also said it was taking so long because they're stuck with a serial connection. He mentioned the VZW store in Albany, NY has a USB connection and it takes 10 minutes there.

Downloaded drivers from LG site.

Why is the transfer rate via USB cable painfully slow? I mean, it's taking an hour to transfer one 5meg mp3. Do I have the wrong drivers? The way it sort of looks, Bitpim uses a USB/Serial driver? I'm not understanding.

The update was sent to computers last night...I am pleased to announce that I confirmed this with a store rep. in Santa Barbara, CA. It takes about 30 minutes to load the update. Come and get 'em!! 😁

Can I view Text or Missed Calls on the front sub screen Without actually recieving a text or missed calls(and having a notofication waiting 4 me)? I hope i explained my question clearly. THANKS IN ADVANCE

I know there's been some mention of the camera delay, even after the update. I've been noticing a delay, even without the zoom (not on the highest resolution, but the one below).

Anyone else notice this, too?
