LG VX-8100

Well I am happy to announce that I have finally received the update. I know wwhizzard has been keeping everyone informed of the progress here in Ohio. I am HAPPY!!! 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁

It took about 3 hours for them to do my 3 phones. Well it may have taken longer but they told me 3 hours so I went shopping and came back...and low and behold...there they were. So far everything seems to be working well.

having no computer knowledge at all can someone please explain to me like they were explaining to a chid how to transfer mp3 mfrom a computer to my phone. I bought the mini sd and sd reader / writer

i just got the phone yesterday you think that i would already have the update on it???

Just wanted to post that the update is here. If we have it here in SD then I would think that most everyone should have it!! They also told me that it takes no longer than 11 minutes. This differs from the hour that has been previously reported in this forum... can anyone confirm this? I'm going to get it after work today.

I currently have the LG VX 8000, and the front screen has broken. I have insurance through verizon wireless, and I was wondering how that works. If you have any info on that, you help is greatly appreciated!

do you really need vcast to get the songs as mp3's on your phone? i have a reader writer and the mini SD card...do i need to label the songs as something besdies MP3? Just bascially wondering how i put songs on my phone without having to pay 15$ a month for vcast.

Has anybody played around with the GPS function in the service menu?

I haven't really found anything but i was playing with it and my phone started to transmit something because I saw the little arrows moving near the battery indicator.

I wonder what kind of GPS functionality this phone can/will have if any?

I know VZ is working on GPS location services....

When I call customer service I am told there is no update for the VX-8100. Is anyone else having a different outcome? I am in Portland, OR but I do not see how my location would make customer service say that there is no update offered at this time.

Can you sync your LG vx8100 with MS Outlook? I would like to have my MS Outlook Calender with me at all times. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so with what accesories?

I have a 256mb mini sd in my phone and have renamed my mp3's so that they play on my phone.
The only problem is that as soon as I touch ANY button on the phone, the music stops, and you have to start the song all over again. Even if just adjusting the volume.

Anyone else have this problem?

I just recieved my new Motorola H500 Bluetooth headset today and so far so good. I had tried both the HS820 and HS850 and returned both because they fit horrible! This one advertised improved fit, and it does fit better! Very sleek looking, great fit and works awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Jabra works excellent and I've only used it for a month, but think I like this H500 better. If anyone is interested in buying my Jabra BT250V (all black with vibrate feature), let me know. It is a great headset, but I don't need two.

I go to school in Auburn. from Huntsville. and will drive for the up date...... anyone know when we will get it. (even a date)

I know this has a previous post, but theres just too many on here to sort through anymore.

The point is, MY PHONE RINGS WHEN ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO!!! I took it into verizon, and they claimed they couldn't get it to ring when it was on silent or vibrate, but they are total idiots over there anyway. It doesn't always happen, usually after someone texts me it will just keep ringing like it forgot it was on vibrate or silent.

Does anyone else have this problem? Did verizon do anything for you???

Does anyone else's phone sound kinda sqeaky (not really loud) when opening and closing sometimes (at the hinge)? Just curious b/c my phone started sounding a little squeaky (can't hear it in loud places, but when it's quiet, it can heard some). I'm wondering if it's normal.

Thanks a lot for the answers just im a little upset how verizon always does this gay stuff... i mean i just got the phone yesterday and i was all excited now i have to see if they have an update, but just to double check...if i get the update than all i have to do is use my reader writer put the chip in there and drag the songs over to the mp3 folder and i should have no problems?

Can someone try and enter a weekly event in their phone and tell me if it shows up correctly? I put in my class schedule and am trying to repeat it weekly and it won't do it. I even did it using the new official verison of BitPim.
