When you open Bipim on the menu bar there is a Help selection as well as a Support selection. Both are very thorough in assisting you w/ the troubleshooting process. If you were unsuccessful in getting Bitpim to work with your phone.

Anyone know if there is any way to copy the text out of a text message and into somewhere else? I got a URL in a text message that I want to go to on the phone and I want to know if I have to write it down or if theres some way I can past it into the browser. Thanks.

Now on 3rd phone. Might not update. Going to use it for a couple of days and see how the Bluetooth and volume are. More problems after update than before. Won't stay connected to Scala 500 and Jabra BT 250v nothing but static. 🤣 🤣 🤣

i dont know why but after i got the update i tried putting mp3s as a ringtone and my main screen goes black after a few minutes, i close the phone and open it again and its still black. i had to delete the mp3s because 1. they wouldnt play 2. they arent on my card 3. i lost my downloaded ringtones and had to get them back.so does anybody know whats going on.i show the mp3s on the card when i put it in the computer but when i put it back in the phone theres nothing there . what am i doing wrong. please help.

I currently have the 8100 and absolutly love it. Though is may have some voloume problems, i dont mind it much cuz it doesnt happen to often, also the features on the 8100 are way better than the 815, i wouldnt trade off. I am anticipating the update but am hearing bad things about it, is it worth it to get it when it comes to my area. Does it do anything other than enabling the mp3 player. Otherwise i think that the 8100 is a much better and more customizable phone then the 815.

I don't have the phone yet. I'm trying to decide how much I would use the Bluetooth and mp3.

Lets say I'm listening to Greenday with my overprice Bluetooth stereo headset. (I'm open to suggestions on what headset to get too.)

What happens when a call comes in? Does it ring in over the tunes? How do I answer. Do I have to touch the headset or phone or is there a voice command? What if its my wife and I just want to keep listening to the tunes?

Am I able to download from computer to phone via bluetooth, or can it only be done via data cable?

I received the update and I think I still have the volume issue. It's very frustrating. I end up getting upset with the person on the other line for not speaking loud enough but I know it's my phone! Anybody else experience this?

I have auto volume off and voice privacy is set to standard.

What is auto volume anyway and why do we all have it off?

I bought this for the bluetooth and mp3 player. I like the bluetooth and find that I will not use the mp3 like I thought. My phone has the new version 4 flashed. Mp3 player works beautiful. I have a verizon cover, verizon car charger, and everything else that came with the phone. I will even throw in a 512mb mini SD card. Would like an 815 in like condition (9+). Not to change the update subject, but has anyone tried the new Motorola H500 BT headset yet? I haven't seen much on here about it and wasn't sure if it's even widely available yet. I have a friend sending me 2 and am anxious to try it out, just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on it.

I haven't bought the 8100 yet, but I'm wondering if the latest updates are put on the phone before you buy one.

Price is steadily dropping. Online it is still $319. This phone and the rest of the VCAST phones are ridiculously low priced if you ask me. Is this to get people to subscribe to VCAST? I wonder will the a970 really be %399 WITH 2yr contract? Seems a little steep.

Do you need to have the mp3's on a minisd to play or can you just load them into the folder using the data cable? I do not have a card, and when I open the folder it says something about there not being files on the card.

I am trying to decide between purchasing the 8100 or a smartphone. I love the 8100 but was wondering if any of you were aware of a personal finance applicaton (Quicken) that can be loaded onto this phone?

Can I load any third part applications onto this phone other than games from Verizon?

Hello! I had my phone updated last week and I have noticed a little problem. I have about 20 pictures on my phone (I do not have a memory card yet) and was sending some picture messages. Well, when I looked at my "Sent" messages, one of the pictures I sent showed up blank, like I didn't send a picture at all, but the recipient got it. I noticed that some of my other pics did the same when sending, but others showed up - no rhyme or reason.

THEN, I noticed that if I renamed the file (of those pics that didn't show up when sent), it showed up! Weird! But if I named it back to what I originally had, it went back to showing up as blank when in the SENT box.

Anyone else noticed this by any chance or have any explanations?

If I just canceled V-Cast, will I still be able to use the EV-DO network with DUN and get speeds close to DSL still? Or am I limited to just the 1x Digital Speeds?

has anybody noticed that when you make a 3gp movie with mpegable and use the same settings every time.why are some videos not full screen and others are? any help would absolutely rock thanks

I'm reading all about the update info. i was also told by lg that there is no mp3 player on it but it will play "music on demand (MOD)" and that you have to talk to and purchase from verizon. the verizon guy i bought from said lg disabled it, not verizon. he said i had to purchase a program from best buy or somewhere similar for around $80 to use mp3 player. whatever, anyway, just happy to know it will work without all that. i was tempted to trade for 815 but heard too much crap about newer motorola phones. i loved my old lg, only updated cuz i could and was changing my contact anyway. sorry, off topic. anyway, just wondering how much the update will cost me. and does it allow for the "recordable ringtones" promised in someplaces? and mp3s t...

ok so i have heard that with the new update you can connect to the internet on you coputer through a bluetooth connection. If this is true would anyone reccomend a specific bluetooth card for a computer that works well with this phone..

I got my 8100 when it first came out and I was pretty ticked off about the phone not being able to play mp3's and now as I read through all of these threads and it sounds like everyone has figured out how to play mp3's. I was just wondering how to do this. Does it have something to do with the new software that has been released for the phone, which I do not have because its not here yet where I live. Could someone please give me some good info on how to get these mp3's on my phone. Also what does that new update do for my phone. I have a mini SD card and I have figured out how to play video's and I am liking it. So please someone help on the mp3's Thank You.
