Mp3 player thru Bluetooth?

I am buying a BT headset soon and would like to know can the Mp3 player be heard through the BT headsets that some of you own?

UPDATE PROBLEM!?!?!?

I got the update yesterday and the mp3 player is great. My dilemma is with my ringtones. I have noticed that my ringtones will periodically disappear. Instead of ringing their will be static. I reset the phone and the problem was fixed but it is still happening occasionally. Even the VZW default tones were just static when I went to my_ringtones and just sampled them. I am going to see if reassigning the ringtones to the contacts will solve the problem. Has anyone else had this problem?.

Side note. I AM NOT GIVING BACK MY UPDATE!!!! 😁

Update / Headset

Scala 500, which worked great, now won't stay connected. Randomly losing connection. Never had this problem before. Had my software flashed 3 times and phone re-placed, after tech f****d it up. I know it's the Scala because I bought an HS850 and BT250v, which don't lose connectivity. Spent the whole day testing in areas that the Scala disconnected from. Will call Cardo tomorrow and have them replace the unit. Am pissed, because it worked so good. Anybody else with Scale have a problem after update? 😡 😡 😡

Bitpim problems

Not to discount any of the problems being attributed to the use of Bitpim, but I have been using it on my phone quite a bit, I have yet to encouter such problems. Seems to me that the incidents being stated are the results from deleting the .dat files. Trust me I have completely customized my phone and there has not been one occurrance where I've had to delete any .dat files. If that is the method you are using to add Ring Tones, MP3s, or Videos. You are in fact messing up the phone. I've read several threads about people stating they will be taking their phones back after they have tinkered with it in that manner. I personally witnessed a Verizon Tech tell the customer in front of me, as I went to have my phone updated. How he knew s...

P.S. Card Reader

Okay, so how would I transfer music files to my phone (when I get the card) from my computer without using all the Bit-whatever-it-is?

I was looking at the card reader, but it said "to transfer files TO your computer". Will it transfer FROM the computer to the card? Thanks!

HELP!!! I think I've made a costly mistake!

This is NOT a rant/complaint and I will be posting this same thread on the VZW forum.

I've been with VZW for a month now coming from Cingular. I left them after 6 years because of lame CS and MANY full-bar dropped calls.

I love everything about VZW EXCEPT the clarity of most of my calls --which is not a minor problem.

I've gone back and forth all month, doing comparisons between both providers while I still had Cingular --and although I found the CDMA quality to be a bit "darker" than the GSM, over 50% of the time my calls sound like mumbling, as if the callers have their hands over their mouths.

I also get the "gargling" effect as well.

Is this truly what VZW quality is about? Or is it just this model phone?

Outlook Calendar Sync

Anyone know how to sync this phone with outlook. I have tried bitpim, but all I can do is ringtones, wallpaper, and Contacts.

I was told the data kit will allow you to do this, but it is not even released yet.

will switching to a new 8100 fix reception problems?

I got the 8100, and I am not impressed with the reception. In most areas, where I'd normally get full bars with my lg vx4400, I am only getting one or two bars (out of 4) on my 8100. I have the software update (version 4), and live in Brooklyn NY. I've had this bad reception in Brooklyn NY, and in Longbranch NJ. I'm wondering if it pays to switch for switch for another 8100? Is it possible I just got a lemon?

Just got my 8100, used to have a 4500. How does speakerphone work, what do I press to get it to work? I can't find it in the futile instruction books.

Playlists After Update?

Okay, after two trips, I have the v04 software, and the Mp3 player and equalizer truly are amazing!
Still, though, I have yet to manage a playlist. All I can do with the card is list songs. Anyone have any ideas as to whether we can set up playlists--all the songs from a CD under one list and so forth?

Bluetooth problem / update

Has anyone else experienced a problem? Am constantly losing connection to headset since update. Have a Scala 500 which worked great. Flashed twice on Thurs, tech screwed up phone on Fri (had to replace phone). Was flashed again on Sat, which took almost 2 hours and was told that's how long it takes when done correctly. This is 3rd tech that told me this. Haven't really had a chance to check it out but picked up a BT250v. Tech said only way to tell if a software problem, is to test 2 different headsets. 😡 😡 😡

Phone Updated...MP3 player not working (Help!!)

I have gotten my phone update done twice so far and I am still having the same problem.

My MP3 player still does not play the songs I have saved on the memory card. I have reformatted the card a couple times as well and that has no effect.

Basically when I am in the player it looks as if all my songs have no times with them. I don't think its the card because when I put it in the reader it says all the songs are good files and I can play them so I am thinking its the phone but like I said earlier, I have had the updated installed twice (first time was the initial upgrade and second time was a reload) and still the issue exists.

I am thinking maybe I should try another store and see if it happens again.

Anyone got any advice for m...

8100 update

The update, if done correctly, should take anywhere from 1 1/2 to 2 hours to do. I was told they 'pull the old software out' and COMPLETELY replace it. That is why it takes so long. I told the tech, I had it done twice before, but it only took about 1/2 hour. He said they were probably 'overwriting' and there are multiple codes for downloading the software to the phone, but wouldn't elaborate any further. 🙄 🙄 🙄

What is being updated

I just got the update and noticed that the mp3 front buttons work, as well as a "my mp3" folder. I also see that you are able to turn off the disco lights. Besides this, what else is in the update? I still notice a delay in taking high res pictures and also, the pictures are still a mirror image when taken with the phone flipped closed. So they still need to fix that stuff.

SW Version # for Update?

Okay, I just returned from my Verizon store where I supposedly had the "new" update installed (and don't even ask how long I was there!!!!!!) Anyway, I can tell zero difference in my phone's capabilities--no Mp3 folder, no ability to turn off disco lights, etc.
The SW number listed on my phone is T0(or 😎1VZV01.
What the @#$%??????

So I'm going to take my 8100 in to exchange for the 2nd time....

I'm having issues that I've posted in earlier threads. For some reason, I am getting no service where I live. The "1x", Verizon wireless banner and signal bars disappear intermittently and I cannot make or receive calls. I called cust service and they reset some settings but it didn't get fixed.

So the tech said that general policy is to give you a different model phone if you want after the 3rd exchange (within 90 days of the purchase of the original phone). But she was willing to let me exchange for a different model after this 2nd exchange. I thought about it and I am willing to give the 8100 another chance. The first time I exchanged it was because of the volume and pics disappearing. I didn't have those problems with this 2nd ...
