What exactly does this update do and what is the specific name of this update?? Will i be able to use "my sounds" as ringers after the update?? Also, does n e one know if it is available in Detroit, MI area?? THANKS MUCH IN ADVANCE.

If I were to file off the keying on the connector, will the USB cable that is for the LG 4050/4600/4010 work for the 8100?

headset jack question
Is there an adapter that goes from 'headset' to a stereo 1/8 inch headphone? This would allow for not only choice of headphones, but the ability to send audio to any source with some sort of aux input.

Dropped my phone off and got it back a few hours later. Vast improvements in the quality of photos. No more resetting when going into your inbox. No more ??????? inbox messages. The volume fluctuation on mine seems to have stopped as well. And of course, the sweet mp3 player.

Car Charger/Data cable issue after update!!!!
Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this, i had bought one of those cheap package deals on ebay for a data cable and car charger. labled as for the 6100,7000,8000 series phones, which worked fine before update, but afte update the car charger no longer works, havn't tried the data cable yet. Did they sneak this little problem into the new update? so you have to buy the right cord? or has my cheap charger just S*** the bed?

Update is available in waterford CT. wich prob means RI has it as well. for those of you in Mass, i'm sure it's coming very soon if not already.going to get it now, 😁

Reason for delayed release of software update!
I was on the phone with a tech from LG and also confirmed with one of our techs at work.
The reason the update is delayed in the west area is because they found problems with it causing people to show a false roaming indicator which keeps them from V Cast and the other data functions on phone.
Just a heads up.. I have been bugging our guys for info on a daily basis!

Software Update Problems
Having a problem with Bluetooth. Constantly disconnects and won't reconnect automatically. Never happened before update. Anybody????? About ready to dump f***ing VZW and phone. Had enough BS with them. 😲 😲 😲

ringtone question??
i just recieved my new 8100 and I sent a mp3 ringer to my phone., i recieved the ringers but just like the previous threads said the phone saved it to sounds instead of ringtones, what do i have to do now to set it as a ringer, is there n e thing i can do??? THANKS MUCH IN ADVANCE
