LG VX-8100

I am almost certain this has been asked before, but I looked back as far as possible and found nothing. I need step by step of how to put videos on my 8100. i got a mini sd (512 mb) i got the bluetooth headset, got multiple programs downloaded, but I seem to get confused everytime. I would appreciate it if someone could write a simple explanation of how to do this. Thanks a bunch in advance! 🙂

I downloaded 7.35 last night and was playing with the phonebook feature. I was able to "get info from phone" and all my phone contacts came up on bitpim, letting me make changes. But I didn't see any way to save those contacts in bitpim. I'm not talking about transferring the changes back to the phone, that I know how to do. But I want to backup what I have on the phone now to bitpim in case I lose the phone or whatever. Can this be done? I don't use Outlook for all my contacts, so I was hoping I don't have to manually input everything in Outlook for a backup, although I'll just have to do it once.

Any help would be appreciated!

Before the fix, my earpeice (headphones) volume is on the LOW side at maxed out volume. Does the update fix this? Does it make is actually LOUD at the max setting? Thanks!

Where is the cheapest place to buy a 1GB mini sd card?

Does anyone have a list of the specific things that are being addressed with this update, such as the volume problem, etc.?

any body know of a way to convert music vids, or similar files to play in good quality on full screen on the phone. i know if you choose like sonny erickson p800 the quality remains the same. or if some one else got luck using something else please share you success

My New Every Two is not up until the first week of October. I called VZ and told them that I need a new phone because mine is worn out.(it really is) I asked if they could help me out. The lady was very nice and moved my NET up to the first week of September. Unfortunately I still can't get a new phone for another three weeks. Can anyone advise me if I can fix this situation? I am going to get an 8100. In fact, I have already ordered some accessories for the phone and they will get here long before I have the actual phone. Any ideas? I am in Rochester, New York. Is there any more wiggle room on the date? The VZ sales people I spoke to at the stores said no way! I'm bummin. Thanks.

I've been holding out on buying the 8100 until the update came out. Now that it's out I have 2 questions:

1. Can I assume that all newly purchased phones (today aug 25) will have this update, or will it take time before they get a new shipment of phones in?

2. If I buy a new phone, is it possible for me to end up with a model that someone returned and they just flashed with the update? I definitely don't want a previously used phone or refurb.

😕 I don't expect a lot but this is ridiculous. The shutter sound goes off and then I think I have the pic but I get a blur because I moved while taking the pic( or the subject moved) My son has a 6100 and it isn't like this. Any solutions? Is mine defective?

when i listen to phone calls through any external hands free device the volume is extremely low.....and it doesnt increase from the volume ..how do i fix this?

Has anyone figured out how to turn the sounds under My Sounds (which is under GIN) into actual ringers? I tried to figure it out but all I noticed was that I could send it with a picture. Does anyone know????? I love the sound of the train!!!!

All I want to know is if the signal strength is stronger, better reception not so many dropped calls, and if the speakerphone is improved after the update. Thanks!!

Hey all, anyone know how to view a video taken with the phone, on a regular computer? It says to get Quicktime but Quicktime doesn't recognize the file and nothing else I've tried does either.

Any suggestions? I don't want to leave it on my phone... 😛

Contacted a Verizon store here in Chicago and was told that the midwest region is usually last in line to receive any updates. He said he was going to e-mail some people and see when they might see it. I will keep you all posted. 😕

I was wonderring if anyone had any insight on how their system works.

If the stores are connected to the same database, which im assuming they are...how could it be that some places have it, some places are expecting it, and some places haven't heard of it.

Shouldn't they all be able to get it at the same time if they're all connected to the same spot. Is it that some places are just not checking but can get it? Just trying to understand their system because it is quite frustrating. Thanks
