Get It Now (bend over now)

Has anyone noticed that you have to now pay for any application on Get it Now? When I had the LG 6000 I don't recall having to pay for Modtones or any of the others. So in other words, if you want to buy a game or a ring tone, you have to pay them up front just for the right to pay a rediculous amount of money for say a 20 second ringtone that you don't even get the whole song for for $2.00. I've never really been involved with cell phones till I bought this one with so many more features than any other cell I've had. I know all cell companies take advantage of customers, but this is a whole new level with the crippling of the Mp3 and some BT features. I say flood verizonwireless.com with complaints, maybe they will change.

Possible mp3 player solution

im sure that most of you by now have figured out how to save songs and videos in their respective folders on your memory cards, (like My_Sounds and My_Pix/Flix), in order for your phone to recognize that they are there and be able to play them. And im sure that most of you have seen the error message "Voice Memo Not Available" when you hold down the voice button while your phone is closed.

with that said, think through this with me. what if our phones are programmed to recognize that files are there only if they are in "certain" folders with "certain" names? obviously this is true because if you just save your files to a memory card and dont put them in the correct folder, your phone wont "see" them.

so, what im getting at is this: wh...

So Long For Now LG

After 10 days with the 8100, I finally admitted defeat. My last 2 phones were LG so I naturally couldn't wait for the 8100 to arrive. In the last 10 days, I've had about every problem mentioned on this forum. If it were only me, I would have chalked it up to a bad phone. But, it's obvious these problems are fairly common to the phone.

For the last 3 days. I've been trying the Moto E815. After only 3 days, my choice has been made. I'm still in shock that a Moto so overwhelmingly out performs an LG. It just seems unnatural, but it is the reality. I won't go into how impressed I am with the Moto. This is not the place for that. I'm just glad to have a phone with exceptional reception. That's the sole reason for having a phone in the first pl...

A little bit of this, A little bit of that.

When information on this phone was released and phone scoop posted the specs, everyone on this forum got all antsy to get this phone.
Everyday there was a post "release date?" or "I talked to Verizon today and...." blah blah blah.
VZW never promised 512mb of memory or an MP3 player. Phone Scoop did.
VZW nor LG ever said that the phone wouldn't have some minor issues (which are being worked out) And what phone doesn't have any issues? Check all the forums and there are problems with every phone.
They probably released the phone early because VZW customer service was sick of people calling them and bugging them about the damn phone.
So My Point Is:
* Don't ask which phone you should get. Read the forums and decide which problems yo...

EATING MY WORDS! I admit it.

😕

I have not been a Moto fan and in some of these posts I have let you all know it. Though today being sick and tired of the 8100's issues I was having I took it back. I was on day 18 and they happily exchanged it for the E815. I do not want to go into a long list of pros and cons. However, for the few on the fence on what to do? as I was for 2 weeks. I will say that the call quality and clarity of the E815 is superior to the 8100. Their I said it,, ouch.. don't lash out at me. I was very skeptical but so far the 815 is really probably a better choice. I have 4 bars of signal in my brick house and the 8100 only gave me 1 sometimes 2.. enough said.

I was wrong to assume the E815 was junk.. I am just such a fan of LG's. I wan...

question about zoom view (after picture is taken)

I don't know if anyone has asked or answered this before....

but you know how after you take a picture and it's saved, under options you can go to zoom view? is there any real point to that? i don't see any option of saving, i was wondering if there was any way to zoom in on the picture and save it again that way. just cause there are a few pics of people that i took that are really good, but would look so much better if they could be permanently zoomed in.

Thanks!

Camera Delay Only on Highest Resolution

I'm sure this has been discovered on a previous thread, but with my camera, I only get a delay on the highest res 1280x960. I can't really tell the difference between all of them anyway. Just thought I'd mention it.

Food For Thought....

This is admittedly a long post, but there is a message in here. I promise.

Yes, the LG VX-8100 has a number of software problems, most noticeably the
“volume issue” that has been discussed numerous times here. I’ve
unfortunately experienced this first hand, and agree that it can be
extremely frustrating when you’re on an important call, and suddenly, your
phone is rendered completely useless because of some unseen internal glitch
that makes hearing the person you’re talking to next to impossible. To
counter this, I use my headset (I’ve been using the Motorola HS-850
Bluetooth headset) almost exclusively, as it’s never had a problem with the
volume dropping out. I’ve also found that the speakerphone works quite
well, coming i...

Are all Data Cables created equally?

I don't know, but I am beginning to believe that my data cable isn't so much a data cable as it is a charging cable. Bitpim refuses to detect my phone, and I plugged in my old VX7000 to try that one too. Nope. Nothing. I have a Mac, so I don't even need driver software. I have even tried it on a PC, but still no luck. What am I doing wrong? It has got to be my cable, because I have tried everything.

Any Mac users successful with their bitpim and VX8100???

Power Saver

Anyone have any information on how to use the power saver function on the phone. I have it set so the backlight turns off after a few seconds but the screen stays on for like a min. I have searched through the phone's options and no luck. If anyone has any information please let me know because the outside screen staying on for a minute is driving me crazy and draining my battery.
