LG VX-8100

Using qpst I tried deleting the files on the phone in order to set full length mp3s as ringtones. So far, each time I try, the files keep coming back, and I've only been able to see one song at a time in my ringtone folder. What am I doing wrong?

I drive with the AC on Max all the time, and sometimes with the top down in a Convertible.

What is the BEST Jabra Wireless Bluetooth device to use for this phone that will prevent Wind, and background Noise and will give you loud Volume, and where you can be heard the best without interference..........

Is it possible to upload files to the mini sd via bluetooth?

I read on a post a while ago that someone was able to actually make the phone think that the ringtones were on the sd card. ie. change the directory of the ringtones to one that is on the sd card. He said you had to open up the myringtone.dat file with a hex editor or something? I don't know if any of you phone hacker specialists out there have looked into it more but just food for thought I guess? Unless someone has figured it out

Does anyone know how to turn off that VERY LOUD sound/tone that plays after you miss a call that goes to voice mail?

My g/f and I just bought (like YESTERDAY) two new LG 8100's and we need to know how to get ringtones to our phones...

I need to know exactly how --- if even possible --- to get ringtones to my LG 8100. Of course, before I go on... I am fully aware that I need to "convert" (changing the file format to either .qcp or .mid/.midi).

All I ask is:

1. Can you please give me explicit details on how to get around Verizon Wireless's "Block"? I have all my tones save on my computer. Is there anyway to get these to my phone w/o a data cable?

AND 2. What in the WORLD is the purpose of all the tones in the "My Sounds" Folder on the phone if you can't do...

Know nothing about this. I need a regular data cable for the 8100? I selected phone setting in preferences (8000). How do I import wallpaper? Greatly appreciate some help. 😕 😕 😕

I'm just curious, if Verizon disabled the MP3 player so they could charge us for songs when MOD comes out, why didn't they also disable the MP3 player on the 815? Same company, same customers, same profit coming in???????????

Just a note, don't think I'm praising the 815 by asking this, just curious about this. I had an 815 first and switched for and 8100, which I LOVE by the way.

This may be a silly question, but I recently changed the setting on the front screen backlight to "always off". Now I noticed that when the phone is closed, and it goes in sleep mode, the screen doesn't come back to life even if press any of the buttons on the front or sides.

I just changed this setting recently. Before, when I had the backlight on, and it would go in sleep, it would come back on when I pressed any button. Just wondering if this is normal. I just exchanged the phone recently and never tried this with the old one, so I wanted to make sure it wasn't a defect.

And I'm wondering what saves battery life more, having the power saver on w/backlight or power saver off and no backlight.

Any help would be appreciat...

I have a problem with the media player. It only goes to a volume of 42 or below. I had the phone taken to Verizon, where they supposedly reloaded the firmware software. The volume went to 100 previously but now it only goes to 42. Does anyone how to get the volume back to 100?

Also any update on the firmware that supposed to be coming out within the month? I've noticed that volume fades in and out; and speakerphone is distorted to the other party. Any and all suggestions/advice welcome. Thank you in advance. Forgive me if this information is found elsewhere; I searched and was unable to find any relevent information.

I know verizon doesnt sell the verizon mobile office kit for this phone. Does anybody know of any places that sells a mobile office kit, so i can connect to the internet with this phone, or is bluetooth the only way to hook it up to my computer. Thanks.

I was just wondering what else can we do with qpst and how . I got the ringtones working but can only download 3 -4 of the to my phone i was wondering is there anything else we can do with this program and how

I have a 5600 and I was playing with the 8100 the other day and I was really impressed. It made my handset feel like crap.

does anyone know if you can make ringtones on the 8100 like you can on the 6000 6100 and 7000 if so can you tell me how

Looking for a Data Cable. Anybody using a Mac, help please. Do you need the software and driver or is just the cable OK? All the ones I have seen are $40 except on eBay. Some came without software. I know Mac usually has DRIVERS built-in. Thanx.

Exactly how many pictures and videos can this phone store on their highest resolution?

how would i be able to change the file name from mp3 to midi, and also is there a program to cut the mp3 size to to crop an mp3 file.
