Question re: Bluetooth with Jabra BT250V

I just got the BT250V and it has been kind of frustrating. I have both the phone and the headset on the same side of my body and I get some scratchiness and whatnot. Also, If I am asked to answer Yes or No it seems to have problems detecting when I have said Yes. I have trained it through the headset already to see if that helps, and it doesn't really. I really have to say Yes forcefully for it to work. Does anyone have any recommendations for things to try? I also tested recording some stuff in the voice memo to see if the headset was bad, but when I recorded something it came across loud and clear. Thoughts?

Hands Free Profile

Does anyone know if this phone supports a hands free profile? I switched my headset to Jabra BT250 and to get advanced features, you need the hands free profile.

Keep or Exchange?

Like others, I've been having battery problems so I went into a local store here in Brooklyn, NY to check it out. I called first to confirm that they had them for replacement and they said 'Sure we have 'em'.
Of course when I got there the friendly woman in the tech dept. said: 'We haven't seen that phone for 2 weeks! We only got a few of 'em when they came out and haven't gotten any more in'.
She told me to check with inventory today. I called and they told me to try again tomorrow.
Now I'm one of the lucky ones with no volume or bluetooth problems. But this battery thing sucks.
The phone always dies when I leave it for a few hours without using it (almost like it's insulted so it shuts down 😁 ). This happens whether no matter how muc...

ACC, 3GPP, 3GPP2 ... Huh?????

I came across this article about AAC stuff..

http://www.pcworld.com/reviews/article/0,aid,120787, ... »

Then wondered what was AAC. Are they file extensions? I found this?

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/technologies/3gpp/ »

Then I clicked onto the "Make It For Mobile" link...

http://images.apple.com/quicktime/pdf/QT_For_Mobile_ ... »

I'm sooo confused!!! I know I read about 3Gp stuff here. Is this possibly the software to get the MP3 player running? With the buttons? Or am I just another hopeless dreamer!!!!!

QUESTION ON UPGRADING....

i got the vx8000 in feburary, when it first came out. i have no complaints with it. but about two weeks ago i was on my boat and it must have got wet. it started not to say "charge complete" it just says charging for days. the battery last's less then a day. the front buttons don't work anymore, and a couple of other things. my main question is if i can use the insurence to get a new phone, but instead of getting the 8000, get the 8100 instead.

also, how is the phone, did they fix the mp3 player, and overall how good of a phone is it.

thanks

Hear ringer through ear piece?

Ok, I've had this phone for about a week and I am trying to replace all the functionality I had with my previous phone...and thanks to those of you who told us all how to activate the speakerphone.

Another question...is it just me...or can you not hear the ringer or ring tones through the headset/ear piece? I am using the ear buds that came with the phone, so not bluetooth yet. I tried a previous headset that allowed my previous phone to ring in my ear but that didn't work with the 8100 either. Is there a setting I've missed?

Help?

Send Picture to my email

How can I send a picture to my email? I tried going to the picture and then send to my email address and also on my pix but I have not received it yet....

Do I have to send it to vzwpix.com or something like that (anywone no the address) first and then to my home email? đŸ¤Ŗ

Thanks for all the assistance.

FYI: I love the 8100 and have been using it for 10 days and it is wonderful. The volume is a bit low but I think it is base on the signal strength you have and also maybe the other side of the call has a bad phone??? 🤭

Best Headset??

Hey! First I wanted to thank everyone for their postings on the 8100. I decided to go with it yesterday, and am very happy with the phone. This is my first bluetooth phone, so does anyone have any suggestions on a headset? Seems like everyone has their own preference, but to those who have an 8100 and headset, can you comment on which headset works the best on this particular phone? Also any comments, pros/cons of any other headsets tried with the 8100. Thanks again in advance for your help!

8100 sound problems

I just recently got my 8100 and the first day I was prety disappointed with it. I too had the problem where it seemed like the sound was going in and out during a call.

What I later discovered was this problem (for me at least) had a lot to do with how I was holding the phone to my ear. I found that if I have the tip of the flip phone at the center of my ear (almost like you are trying to put the phone in your ear), all my calls got very clear. My previous phone was the 4400 and I never had to worry about this before and to be honest it fealt a little weird at first but now I sort of got used to it. When I just hold the tip of the phone to the center of my ear I don't have the problem of increasing/decreasing volumes during a call.

Re-Load the software

I talked to a LG rep earlier today about the volume fluctuation issue. the problem I was having was minor, just a little annoying. The Lg rep told me to bring the phone into verizon and have them re-load the software. It only took a few minutes and the problem is fixed. Make sure you call ahead of time to confirm that the store you are going to go to has the original software. some stores will ony get the updated version when ever it comes out. hope this help some of you out. it worked for me!
