LG VX-8100

does anyone know where to get a 2.5 mm to 3.mm audio converter for the music to play through a stereo. ok the so i know verizon sucks for disablin the mp3 player so when i pay like 3 dollaz for each song what does it sound like is it real music or polyphonic crap i have to pay first then not know what im buying. i would still like to show off that feature with a few songs.

1. You have to convert your video to .3gp format (I use this free program with the following parameters)

The video format should be as follows:

Video: Size 176x144, FPS 15, bitrate 140, HQ

Audio: sampling 22050, channels 2, bitrate 64

2. Save it to your pc and email it to your phone ([email protected]) - you may have to try this a few times until you have full signal on your phone

3. Save the attached video

4. Got to My Flix and play

5. Viola!

PS - You can also use the videos as wallpaper on the front/main screen

Do not rely on the user reviews as many appear to be skewed! I am not a phone basher and couldn't care less about any particular phone -as long as it worked as intended. Since my knowledge of phones is very limited and I am definitely not a geek - I had to depend on phone reviews as a first step as to which phone was without problems. Not only are the forums of both the 8100 and 815 filled with unreliable information (put there by bashers) but the review section (for both phones) is filled with either bashers or LG/Motorola reviewers who probably have never even tried out either phone. Hey all, I was wondering of some of the problems/complaints listed in this forum what kind of things we could expect to be resolved in a software update and what kind of things can't be fixed via a sw update?

Overall I've been very happy with my phone but I do notice at high resolution the camera has a serious delay in processing the image (which sucks if you want to shoot something that's moving) and I do notice sometimes the volume of calls is too low even with the volume maxed.

So can things like this be fixed with a software update? Hope so. Thanks

Video's I've taken are out of sync when played back, V-Cast is also out of sync.

I guess good things come to an end. I've had my phone for almost two weeks without a problem. I always use bluetooth or speaker phone. Never had a problem. Made a call thru phone and had a big decrease in volume. VZW blew me off with a hard reset. You guys with the volume problem also get it with speakerphone and bluetooth? Does this problem occur all ways? I do know I was in a 'weak' cell area. Could this have an effect? 😡 😡 😡

ok so i plugged in the usb port into the phone and then into my computer but bitpim says it cannot detect any phone!!! what am i doing wrong?

Can someone please explain in detail how to transfer phone #'s from the 6000 to the 8100 using bitpim. I'm getting so frustrated and cannot figure it out. I really would appreciate some help....Thanks so much for your time.

So, i'm setting my phone numbers and such into groups. But apparently the maximum capacity for groups is 10. WHAT? I had the VX4400 and that was never a problem. I had like 30 people in one group. What's up with that, do they expect that you only have 10 friends, or 10 co-workers, or...whatever.

Anyway, is there anyway to change that setting at all or not? That's kinda stupid. I think this is the first thing that's come up with this phone that has actually annoyed me. I don't really care that much about the whole mp3 player not working because quite honestly, i'd rather not drain the battery on that.

does anybody know what the buttons on the front do besides exiting the self portrait mode when the phone is closed?

I don't remember who was going to give their final review on moto, jabra, and scala headsets, but I'm wondering if this person has recieved the scala yet. I'm curious to see what they have to say about it and how it works with their 8100.

To all you people who are wondering if this phone supports 1GB mini sd, it does. I bought a one GB mini sd off a site for 80 bucks, and my 8100 recognizes it and saves files onto it. I just ordered a media card reader(if ne one wants the link, ask me, cuz its only 10 bucks where stores sell it for like 40) ima put my mini sd card in the reader and put songs on it. but the only bad thing is i dont think you can close the phone while playing mp3's or use the front buttons, hopefully sooner or later verizon will do somethin so we can or someone will find out how to use media player or somethin
