MediaPlayer

Just wondering if anybody else has found the MediaPlayer hidden in Get it Now and if you have gotten the sound to work on songs?

Bluetooth Car Kit

Anyone know if the Parrot CK3100 works with the LG 8100...VZW sells the Motorola car kit but don't want anything to do with any Motorola product - their headsets bite and I imagine the car kits would as well. 😎

V-Cast experience

To the people that have this phone and V-Cast...

When connecting to V-Cast, about how long does it take? On the 8000 it takes 15-20 seconds just to bring up the menu. Is this faster now?

When moving around the menus once connected, is there still a slight lag between pressing the direction and the highlighted area actually moving? I know you can press the number to directly access a clip, but if it's not on the first page you can't really do that.

Has anyone thought of a convienient way to "bookmark" a certain clip that's updated daily? I'd like an easy way to get to today's headlines from CNN, or the local weather without having to click through all the other steps.

Just watched a Verizon sales rep mislead a customer

I'm waiting for my phone to have the software flashed and a customer comes in and is looking at the E815, 8000, Samsung a890 and the Audiovox. For some reason the 8100 isn't grouped in with these but is further down on the wall. The customer asks the rep about what is best phone and the rep mentions the E815 because "it has an MP3 player, bluetooth and speakerphone". The sales rep didn't even mention the 8100 and instead pulls his V710 out of his pocket and shows it to the customer. I asked another rep (in front of the customer and his sales rep) if the E815 has the functioning MP3 player and he said that it didn't but that there were "ways around it".

I felt bad for the customer for being pushed into a cheap phone who thinks it's ful...

LGE vs VZW

this is my first post and i've spent hours reading threads here. some of this infomation has been covered previously, some has not. please refrain from flaming me based on one comment that you may have already read 1.2 billion times.

lg usa created the vx8100 for the ultimate in convenience and enjoyment for end users, including a built-in mp3 player that could be easily controlled using the multimedia buttons on the outside of the phone.

verizon wireless immediately realized that this was a "potential problem" because of the fact that if people could rip and copy their own mp3 files, this would mean verizon would not be able to charge people for downloading mp3's through their own "get it now" applications. due to a serious lack of...

Plastic Case for 8100 - Help

Is there anyway or anything I can do with the plastic that covers the internal screen, every once in a while the plastic sticks to the screen and causes smudges. The case is just to tight around the screen.

Oh no, not again....

What is it this time? What is all this I hear about the MP3 player being crippled, or something about the buttons on the outside of the phone.
If vzw crippled the MP3 player on this phone; I am really gonna start thinking they are going to far...

DEFERRED text mesage...

Has anyone found a way to send a deferred text message on the 8100? On my old phone, I could type a text message now and send it, with an option to deliver to the addressee at a later specified time. Anyone know about this?? 😕

Whats going on??

As high tech as these new phones are they are still relatively old technology compared to phones that are out in Europe and Japan. So my question is... Since the phones in Europe and Japan are much more advanced than the phones in the US, you would think that most if not all of these new phones problems would be resolved.

Connecting to Internet through Lg Vx8100

Is anyone else having the problem of connecting to the internet over your 8100 through your usb cord? It was working fine for me, but now I am getting a invalid user id and password error.

Any advice? Can someone please post the user id and password for me?

I Still Love This Phone!

1) The battery dies quick. Alomost overnight. But it's the standard battery, so I didn't hope for much. I always buy the extended battery anyway.
2) No MP3 player. Oh well. It would have been nice, but then again I own an ipod.
3) I LOVE the disco lights. The light also helps when it's dark and the sound is turned down and the car stereo over powers the ringer.
4)Bluetooth and hands free link in the car works awesome.
4) I have had NO volume issues. Or at least I haven't yet. (And it's been three weeks without issue.)
5) I love the speakers and how loud they are.
6) Storing contacts is the way more organized than the Motorola E815.
7) The camera is okay. But there isn't a cell phone out there with a perfect camera unless you...

The Manual? Anyone else feel this way?

So in the manual I see nothing about an MP3 player. Is it that Phone Scoop was wrong about this. Yes Buy it now is money for Verizon but, as we all get older we see that this whole world is about money, not just Verizon. Every buisness operates for money.

As for the rest of the phone I have had no problems except the picture thing one time. I am unsure if I have the sound issues or just reception difficulty once in a while. I love the phone so far.

Have you noticed how the older phones work better than the new ones?

I've noticed how everyone is going back to their older phones---I.e the 4400,4500, 6 series etc because the new stuff isn't working properly. Do you think its a Verizon software issue (blocking features, not enough testing etc), Quality Control issues on LG's side, a combination of the two or just the fact that new phones are trying to do so much that they are incapable of doing any one thing well.

I owned both the 4400 and 4500 and never had an issue with either one but they were strictly phones w/internet access on the 4500.
