Motorola Q

does anyone have a list of some websites that are formatted to work on the smartphones? I know there is a link on the VZW favorite that works for ESPN, however, I am looking for a list of sites that are more compatible with the smartphone browser. I can load standard websites, however it takes A LONG time plus the format is normally screwed up. Any help is appreciates...

Please let me know step by step how to download the program to view full size video... PLEASE

Anyone smarter than me that knows how to quickly get the Q to Silent or Vibrate other than going in and turning each possible ringer to vibrate? I have looked every where and cannot find it. I am about to call Motorola. Please help!

Gotta activate a new account via Amazon and mail in a rebate I guess if I'm reading it right. But this may be some incentive to anybody who hasnt got the phone or Verizon yet.

I've tried a number of videos, some 640x480, some 320x240, all wmv's, all out of sync and choppy during playback... is this the norm or am I doing something wrong!?

Is there a certain video format, resolution, bit rate or is the Q simply not capable of playing back most videos smoothly?

Does anyone know if there is a shortcut or a simple way to jump between folders for your inbox, MMS, texts, etc? It just seems as though going back and forth using the menu key and scrolling to the applicable folder (deleted, sent, inbox, outbox) is slow and clumsy. Anyone know of some shortcuts?

Blurry eyed and several hours later, I still can't get Gmail to exchage on to my Q through Outlook. I'm not sure I understood some of the previous posts, so if somebody can spell out exactly what needs to be done, I would be greatly appreciative.

Also, I have not been able to stream XM b/c I can't log in to the mobile website. Has anybody else had this problem?

Anyone have any luck getting the below program to work? I have installed it but cannot get it to look at my server, when I use the same info that lets my email sync with exchange.

I really needs access to my office's global contacts on the road and don't want to download all 2,000 of them.

After I close the window it still shows the connect symbol in the top right hand corner.. How to log off??? and if I dont does it kill my battery??

So if you have a regular Yahoo Mail account, the only way to check your email is through IE on the Q.
But I'm not able to Reply/Delete/FWD etc from the IE browser. It doesn't want to highlight those little blue buttons up top. What's the alternative?

Anybody experiencing dust (or what looks like dust) in their screen. Brought it to verizon, they said it is normal and they cannot open and clean. Which I understand, but dust already.

Seems strange.

Does anyone know if, or where you can get software for WM5.0 for smartphones to connect to a PC or server through Remote Desktop Connection/Terminal Services similar to the application that comes with Pocket PCs???

I recently had a post for this in the Q forum and can no longer find it. I had a response that I was not able to get back to because this was lost. I'm selling a 1 week old Q. It has no scratches on there and many of the things that came with it have never been opened. I'm also including the extended battery along with the phone. I'm asking 300.00. Thanks.

Don't know if any of you are as clumbsy as me...but thought I should inform for those curious. The second day I had the Q, I fell into a lake with the Q in my pocket. I immediately got out and took out the battery. I opened it up and let it dry over night, works just the same the as it did prior to the bath! So there is some hope for those of you who get thrown into pools or whatever. 🤤

Question for Q users:

I'm currently a Treo 700w user who is considering a switch to the Q.

When using the 700w, I am able to page down (when reading an e-mail or web page) by using [Alt-Down] --- similarly, I can do the same on a Blackberry by simply hitting the space bar.

Any advice on how to do this on a Q? I've been playing with one, and haven't been able to find the command.

Anyone found a good regedit for the Q. Want to try some of the tweaks on freewebs.com/smartq but the recommended regedit and several I tried on handango won't run.

I am looking into buying a new phone. I am a graduate student, i.e. I work, go to classes (have a busy schedule), almost always on the go and need something that is mobile, easy to use and can allow me to have my schedule, phone, notes, to-do lists, music, etc at my finger tips. I am not a "tech-y" or gadget freak by any means, but I am into capabilities and being able to perform a lot of tasks within one gadget with ease.
Having said that, the two phones I'm looking into are the Moto Q and the LG the V, Vcast phone. They are within my price range, seem to offer similar features, and seem to be the types of phones that will give me what I need.
I know that everyone here is going to be a fan of the Q. I just need an honest opinion on which...

I sent Vzn a question on streaming video to the Q - specifically Slingbox use - to see for myself specifically what the user agreement language (that I didn't read) said. They sent me this:

Has anybody been to Destination Q on Michigan Avenue in Chicago? Not quite as cool as the Nokia store just down the street, none the less, a great place to get a hands on experience with the Q.

Does anyone know how to change pop3 to sync more often than every 15 min?

I hacked the registry and couldn't find that in there.

I know this is a very technical question, but if you can help it would be great!
